Scribe Implementation

Each PhysAssist Scribes implementation varies based on factors such as hospital location, physician coverage, documentation tool, and support from staff and administration. However, three critical phases occur in order to achieve successful implementation.

Research & Development

In this phase, we work to learn all relevant aspects of your facility's daily process and develop an effective plan for implementation. If your department has an upcoming "go live" in which it is transitioning from a paper chart to some form of electronic health record, PhysAssist Scribes can alleviate the process interruption associated with such a transition.

Recruiting & Operations

In this phase, our recruiters work to assemble your scribe team of highly motivated pre-medical students. Our operations specialists will consult with physicians, management, and hospital administration at your facility to educate and supervise the development of a fully functional and efficiently run scribe program.

Training & Full Implementation

Although only the beginning of your prosperous scribe program, this final implementation phase includes the intense training of your scribe team, while attending to vital staff education about the integration of scribes into your ED.
